Wholesale Cationic Polyacrylamide (CPAM) - Leading China Suppliers & Factory for Water Treatment Solutions Suppliers, Factory

Cationic Polyacrylamide (CPAM) is a highly effective water-soluble polymer known for its positively charged molecular chain (-NH₃⁺). This versatile compound excels in water treatment by employing a charge adsorption + net capture mechanism to interact with negatively charged suspended solids, dissolved organic matter, and pollutants like dye anions. As a result, it rapidly aggregates and removes fine particles, making it an essential solution for decolorization and impurity removal in industries such as printing and dyeing, electroplating, and chemical engineering, Our factory in China is a leading supplier of Cationic Polyacrylamide, providing high-quality products designed to meet the rigorous demands of water treatment applications. Trust our expertise as a reliable supplier to enhance your water purification processes effectively

Product Description

Core Features

Adjustable Ionicity · Precise Adaptation: Ionicity (cationic charge density) ranges from 10% to 80% (adjustable), customizable according to the negative charge intensity of wastewater:

Low ionicity (10%–30%): Suitable for low turbidity, weakly negatively charged wastewater (such as surface water pretreatment); High ionic degree (50%–80%): Suitable for wastewater with high negative charge and fine suspended solids (such as printing and dyeing wastewater, electroplating wastewater).

Fast dissolution, low residue: The dissolution time of powder PAM ≤ 60 minutes (at room temperature), after dissolution, the flocs are large and settle quickly (settling speed is 25%–40% faster than conventional products), and it works better when used in combination with PAC. Water insoluble matter ≤ 0.5%.

Strong Tolerance: Resistant to acid and alkali (pH 3–12), temperature-resistant (−5°C to 90°C), suitable for multiple scenarios such as mine wastewater, papermaking black liquor, printing and dyeing wastewater, and oilfield reinjection water.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q What is the ionicity range of this cationic PAM, and how do I choose the right grade for my wastewater?
The ionicity (cationic charge density) ranges from 10% to 80% and is fully adjustable. For low turbidity or weakly negatively charged wastewater such as surface water pretreatment, a low ionicity grade (10%–30%) is recommended. For wastewater with high negative charge and fine suspended solids — such as printing and dyeing or electroplating wastewater — a high ionic degree (50%–80%) is more suitable. Our technical team can help you select the optimal grade based on your specific water quality parameters.
Q How long does it take to dissolve the powder PAM, and what is the recommended dissolution method?
The dissolution time for powder PAM is ≤ 60 minutes at room temperature. It is recommended to slowly add the powder to clean water while stirring continuously to avoid clumping. Using warm water (not exceeding 60°C) can help speed up dissolution. The resulting solution should be clear with minimal residue — water insoluble matter is ≤ 0.5%.
Q Can this product be used together with PAC (Polyaluminum Chloride)?
Yes. Cationic PAM works synergistically with PAC. PAC acts as a coagulant to destabilize particles, while PAM acts as a flocculant to bridge and aggregate the destabilized particles into larger, faster-settling flocs. When used in combination, settling speed can be 25%–40% faster than using conventional products alone. PAC should generally be added first, followed by PAM after a short mixing interval.
Q What pH and temperature conditions is this cationic PAM suitable for?
This product demonstrates strong tolerance across a wide range of conditions. It is effective at pH levels from 3 to 12, making it suitable for both acidic and alkaline wastewater environments. It is also temperature-resistant, performing reliably in conditions ranging from −5°C to 90°C, which makes it applicable in cold-climate operations as well as high-temperature industrial processes.
Q What industries and applications is this cationic PAM most commonly used in?
This product is widely used across multiple industries, including: municipal sewage treatment (sludge dewatering), industrial wastewater treatment (steel mills, electroplating plants, paper mills), oilfield exploitation (improving oil recovery and adjusting injection water viscosity), paper and textile manufacturing (enhancing paper strength, reducing fiber loss), and soil improvement (preventing erosion and enhancing water retention).
Q What are the packaging options and shelf life of this cationic PAM product?
The product is available in 25kg woven bags (lined with an inner plastic bag) or 1-ton jumbo bags. Custom packaging with English labeling or customer logo is available upon request. For storage, keep the product in a cool, dry place at temperatures ≤ 35°C and away from direct sunlight. The shelf life of the solid product is 2 years when stored unopened under recommended conditions.
